Rosh Hashanah, The Jewish New Year, is literally just around the corner! Here is an easy an delicious Honey Cake Recipe from our Naturopath Genya Fleischer

Ingredients:

2 eggs
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup oil
3/4 cup honey
1/2 tsp Cloves
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp ginger
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp bicarbonate
2 teabags in 1 cup boiling water (black tea)
1 cup self raising
1 cup plain flour

Method:
Heat oven to 180 degrees. Beat 2 eggs with sugar for 7 minutes. Add oil, honey and boiling water while beating.
Sieve all flour and spices and bicarbonate. Add to mixture. Bake in preheated oven for 40 minutes or until skewer comes out dry.
